June 11, 2005 Location Speakers Tim Bowers, Illustrator: Tims first childrens book, The Toy Circus by Jan Wahl, was published in 1986. Since then he has illustrated more than sixteen childrens books, including the Little Whistle series by Cynthia Rylant and The Bravest of the Brave. His childrens book illustrations have received honors/awards such as the "Child Magazine" 2001 Best Childrens Book Award. Several of his books have been chosen as Junior Library Guild selections.
