Meet Shirley Neitzel!

Shirley joined the SCBWI in 1993 and has been active in the organization ever since. She co-chaired and presented at the 1999 "School/Library Visits Workshop," was a speaker at the 1998 "Beginnings Workshop," and has served as a Critique Group Facilitator at chapter retreats and conferences.

Shirley is the author of a series of rhyme and rebus books published by Greenwillow and a book of Ojibwa legends by River Road. Books in her series have received numerous recognitions, including the IRA/CBC Children's Choice Award, honor book by Parents' Choice, and Pick of the Lists of the American Booksellers' Magazine.
