Program
Description: Kate's presentations generally describe
the process of creating the "visual story" including the importance of reading, research and even the math involved
in planning and illustrating a book. Her experience illustrating a wide range of subjects, for adults as well as children,
allows her to show the differences and similarities between illustrating fiction and nonfiction, She can tailor her
talk to the age range of her audience and the time allowed. For older students, she can also talk about art careers.
Group size: Prefers smaller groups - no more than 2 or 3 classes or 60-80 children at a time.
Fees: Starting
at $100 for a single one-hour presentation and $500 for a full school day (travel and perhaps accommodation expenses may be
added). Please visit http://www.kldarnell.com/ for a School Visit Worksheet including current fees, and to contact Kate for more information.
