Presentations for Adults, Teachers and Author/Illustrators-In-Training:
Workshops, seminars, lectures. I have built a program for the Art Academy University/San Francisco that teaches the
art, craft and business of making books for children.
Presentations for Children: School visits, library visits, bookstore visits, author/artist-in-residencies.
Program Description: Educating through humor and example, I present my work to students in a manner
which engages their sense of fun and desire to create. As an author/illustrator (and a former kid who was the last to learn
the alphabet) I empathize with those who see and express their stories in images while celebrating the power of the written
word. I present one of my stories. Show how it was created. Present new work and draw for the children. All drawings are given
to the students and/or school. Kids come away from my presentations with the belief that they can do what I do. And they're
right.
Group Size: I can happily
work with groups of up to 250 participants but will need a solid sound system for a group that size.
Fee:
I charge $500 per 50 minute session.
Availability: Year round.
