Our chapter's cyber community, "MichKids," is served by Yahoo Groups, so if you are already a subscriber to other yahoo lists and already have a password, you can quickly access your subscription information for MichKids and select digest, nomail, change your email address, etc. all online. If you are a subscriber to MichKids but don't yet have a password, apply for a one today at www.yahoogroups.com.

If you're wondering what MichKids is, and you are a member of SCBWI-MI, Join us! It's free. MichKids is a SCBWI-MI members-only 2-way email list; when your membership is confirmed, you will be added.

Are you published and seeking help in promotion?

Has your email, area or zip code changed?

Members, update your information by accessing it online at www.scbwi.org. or notify the membership office at membership@scbwi.org and please send a copy to Regional Advisor Lisa Davis lisa-davis@earthlink.net as well. This will help keep you as up-to-date as possible on national and regional events. Since our chapter does not offer online updating of vital information, we must receive changes through the International office and there may be a time lag.

May I be included in SCBWI-MI's online lists of "Authors and Illustrators?"

If you are the author or illustrator of published work/s, or you have a book contract with expected publication date/s, you are eligible. Here is the information you need to submit. Contact Mindy Krasner, melkras@earthlink.net with any questions.

How do I submit my book jacket/s for inclusion in the "New Books" section of our website?

You must be a full member and published by a house listed in the "Publishers of Books for Young People/Market Survey." (This SCBWI publication is updated each August and available to members only; it can be downloaded online or mailed to you.) Your book/s must be current; some additional limitations may apply. Please contact Mindy Krasner, melkras@earthlink.net.

How do I request my name be added to our Speakers List?

Any full member seeking speaking engagements is eligible to be listed on our Speakers List; complete our Speaker List Application.

May I request a link to my personal website from our KidsBookLink.org site?

At present, we are providing links to any member included on our Speakers List and/or Michigan Children's Book Authors and Illustrators list. Your URL will link from those documents, rather than from our "link" section.

In addition, be aware that any full (not associate) member may request his/her professional site be linked to the "members web pages" portion of the SCBWI site. For instructions, visit www.scbwi.org.

How do I correct information about me that appears at our website?

Can you give us a few hours? Work on a committee for a future event, serve as a critique group facilitator at an SCBWI-MI function, greet people at an event, enter data into a spreadsheet, clean up, move chairs, etc etc, please contact our Volunteers Coordinator Rachel Anderson, andersonra@sbcglobal.net.
