Program Description
Inspiring a Kid To Do Anything That Doesn't Involve Some
Kind of Screen
"I'm sure my career would have taken a different direction,
had I not been bored to death as a kid. Thank goodness our fun
and fantasy didn't revolve around joysticks and daily rations
of Disney DVD's." The path, which begins as a barefoot kid
on a farm in the woods and leads to children's book illustrator
with over 40 published books, is filled with fun and sometimes
unbelievable stories. When Cyd speaks at a school, kids get so
inspired by her art and story-telling, they can't wait to start
writing and illustrating their own tall tales (usually about
Cyd's brothers' adventures!)
