Elizabeth Brandt - Illustrator

Carol A. Grund - Author
Carol writes short stories, poetry, plays and nonfiction articles for children and is published in Ladybug, Cobblestone, Pockets, Plays, AppleSeeds and My Friend. As a Marketing Assistant for a large library district, she enjoys spending her days immersed in the world of children's literature.

Ann Purmell - Author
Ann was a pediatric psychiatric nurse; she did Post-BA work in elementary education. Although she now has numerous children's books to her credit, it was her first magazine acceptance, "Promises Never Die," (Guideposts for Teens '99) that encouraged her writing for publication.

Ann started writing poetry at age seven under the guidance of her grandmother. At age twelve, Ann began working in her family's retail clothing store, an experience which later helped her tell the story of her first book, Apple Cider Making Days (Millbrook 2002).

Patricia A. Relf - Author
In addition to Pat's books for children, she has written educational computer software for Scholastic Microzine (Twistaplot Adventure Stories), the Audubon Society (Whales and Grizzly Bears, with Deborah Kovacs), and Spinnaker Software (Snooper Troops, with Deborah Kovacs). She's also done workbooks on science and computers for Scholastic, articles for Sesame Street Parents' Newsletter, CTW, and rebus stories for Highlights for Children.

Denis Rodgers - Author
Denise loves wacky poetry, and her poems have found fine homes. She is the author of two children's books –and a CD too!

Buffy Silverman - Author
In addition to her children's books, Buffy writes about nature for children's magazines. She has published over fifty articles, stories, and poems in Click, Ladybug, Spider, Cricket, Know, Highlights for Children, Odyssey, Wildlife in North Carolina (children's pages) and Ranger Rick. She has also written many articles and stories for educational publishers.

Christine Tricarico - Author
Christine has over 55 stories and poems accepted for publication in Highlights For Children, Hopscotch For Girls, Babybug, Friends Talking (upcoming poetry anthology), Guideposts For Kids, Story Friends, Boys Quest, Wee Ones, Fun For Kids, Our Little Friend, Blue Review, Confetti, Inspiration Station and other children's publications. She is a poetry editor for Dragonfly Spirit, and compiled and edited the book, Itty-Bits of Bliss, a collection of poetry by various authors including herself.
