Ann Purmell - Author
Ann was a pediatric psychiatric nurse; she did Post-BA work in
elementary education. Although she now has numerous children's
books to her credit, it was her first magazine acceptance,
"Promises Never Die," (Guideposts for Teens
'99) that encouraged her writing for publication.
Ann started writing poetry at age seven under the guidance
of her grandmother. At age twelve, Ann began working in her family's
retail clothing store, an experience which later helped her tell
the story of her first book, Apple Cider Making Days (Millbrook
2002).
Patricia A. Relf - Author
In addition to Pat's books
for children, she has written educational computer software
for Scholastic Microzine (Twistaplot Adventure Stories),
the Audubon Society (Whales and Grizzly Bears, with Deborah
Kovacs), and Spinnaker Software (Snooper Troops, with
Deborah Kovacs). She's also done workbooks on science and computers
for Scholastic, articles for Sesame Street Parents' Newsletter,
CTW, and rebus stories for Highlights for Children.

of Bliss, a collection of poetry by various authors including
