Lisa
Brody, Author
Lisa is a restaurant columnist for Style Magazine, an
Oakland County lifestyle magazine. She also is a regular contributor
of articles to Style Magazine, Hour Magazine, The Jewish News,
and the The Detroit News.
Shutta Crum, Author
In addition to Shutta's many children's
books, she also writes for adults, and has poems and articles
published in magazines, journals and newsletters.
Joan Donaldson, Author
In addition to Joan' s children's
books, she freelances for The Christian Science Monitor.
Some of those personal essays have reappeared in state reading
exams, such as the Nevada State Reading Exam for HS students.
She has had a feature column in Ideals magazine, and writes,
"these adult sales help fund my schooling." Joan is

Karen Douglas, Author
Karen's book, Sparrow Hospital's Centennial Celebration
Cookbook (a collaboration) was published in 1996, and her
articles appear in The Lutheran Magazine, R. E. Olds Transportation
(a newsletter), and Finnish American Reporter.
Karen has also done book reviews for members of the Society
of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators which have appeared
in the Traverse City Record-Eagle.
Stacey Duford, Author
In addition to her children's
book, Stacey has an essay in Strut Magazine (September
2005)
Jean Alicia Elster, Author
In addition to her children's
books, Jean also writes articles for adults.

Marcy Heller Fisher, Author/Educator
In addition to her books for
children, Marcy has published a monograph, Marshall Fredericks:
Sculptor (Saginaw Valley State University and Matrix Midland,
2003). She also authored Marshall Fredericks, Birmingham,
Bloomfield and Beyond: A Photographic Album (Birmingham Public
Schools, 1995), and in 2002, a pamphlet for Birmingham Historical
Museum entitled "A Birmingham Walking Tour."
Monica A. Harris, Author
In addition to Monica's books
for children, and her writing for children's
magazines, she has also well published in educational magazines
such as Oasis, Lollipops, and Good Apple Newspaper,
in Challenge Magazine, an educational resource for educators
of gifted children, and in publications marketed to writers of
children's literature such as Once Upon a Time, and SCBWI-Michigan
News.
PJ Lyons, Author/Illustrator
In addition to PJ's book
for children, she has illustrated The StoryKeepers Teacher's
Guide, written by Amelia Cooper and Tom Boomershine, for
a children's video series.
Margaret Mims, Author/Illustrator
In addition to Margaret's media
for children, her illustrations and articles have
been published in Once Upon A Time, a magazine
for children's writers and illustrators.
Joe Novara, Author
In addition to his books
for children, Joe's short stories have been published in
anthologies.

Nancy Slajus, Author

Rita Soltan, Author
Rita is a former children's librarian and has recently published
a book, Reading
Raps: A Book Club Guide for Librarians, Kids and Families
(Libraries Unlimited, 2005) on leading book discussions. Rita
lives in West Bloomfield, currently does consulting, and regularly
reviews for Kirkus Reviews and School Library Journal.

Sue Stauffacher, Author
In addition to her children's
books, Sue is a children's book reviewer for the Grand
Rapids Press, an arts education facilitator for Michigan
Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, and a member of the community
advisory panel for literacy to the Grand Rapids Public Schools.
Sherry A. Wells, Author

Sherry is an author of children's
books, a lawyer for 27 years, author and publisher for 19
years, and a public speaker: Getting Your Book Published, various
Law for Laypersons, in and about Esperanto (the global language).
In research for her stepmother book, Sherry met many wonderful
women about whom she plans to write juvenile biographies.
Carolyn White, Author
In addition to her books
for children, Carolyn is a professional storyteller. She
is also interested in folklore and has authored an adult book
on the subject.
