Program Description
Creative Nonfiction: Finding a story from the natural world.
Students learn how an author writes engaging nonfiction, using techniques that are important in both fiction and nonfiction. The presentation shows the steps of nonfiction writing: choosing a topic, researching the topic, finding a story line, using language that brings a story to life, and revising the work.
Group Size: Prefer small groups in adjacent grade levels (K-1, 2-3, 4-5).
