Our Commitment:

Because we publish our speaker list only via the web, providing us an email address or fax number helps protect your privacy. If you wish to have your street address and/or your phone number/s listed at our website, you must request it. If you prefer to be contacted by phone, tell us, and we will indicate this preference. We do not provide information to those who may seek to hire you beyond what is published at our website.

In an effort to present speaker information with impartiality and offer information useful to our general membership, we ask that you answer all questions and follow our guidelines as to length. Because our website is an expense to our local organization and maintained by volunteer members, we currently do not publish graphics or lengthy descriptions in the speakers' section. We encourage you to have a brochure available and/or consider a professional website to which we will promptly link.

Your obligation:

If your contact information – especially your email address and/or your professional URL change, it is important that you advise us of these changes as they occur. We will update contact information promptly. Not only is accuracy essential so that you may be reached, but current information enhances the value of our online list, and is respectful of fellow members' interests.

Once you are included in our speaker's section, it is your responsibility to provide us information to update your general listing at least once a year; we will not initiate contact. We will make corrections at least every three months with whatever information you have provided us.

Because our speakers list is open only to full (published) SCBWI members in Michigan, please make sure that SCBWI headquarters lists your membership as "full," your having provided them the information they require to issue full (as opposed to associate) status.
